LIC Customer Portal is the LIC’s initiative to provide the services to the policyholder to view all details of the purchased policy online, download LIC premium receipt, loan amount, loans dues, bonus status of the policy, claim status and more.

So many functionalities that were available at the LIC branch office, now online at your fingertips. LIC policyholders do not need to visit a branch or standing in a long exhausting queue, what all you need to do is login into the LIC customer portal and execute your job, this whole process is simple, secure, and hassle-free. If you are not a registered user, then you need to register yourself first, then go on.

Step by Step Registration Process for New User:

Without registering into the LIC customer portal you can not add your currently purchased policy and associated details can’t be accessed online.

  1. Visit LIC’s official website; www. licindia.in
  2. Choose customer portal from online services
  3. A new user option is provided into the box, just click on it
  4. Provide your policy number, date of birth, email, PAN card details, your gender, instalment premium without tax, mobile number, passport number. After providing all details, check the button where the declaration has been mentioned which is “I confirm that the mobile number mentioned above is registered under my name and being used by me. I hereby authorize LIC to use the mobile number for any communication.” and then click on “Proceed” button.
  5. Now you are granted to create a new user name and password for future login
  6. Click on submit button
  7. Under the  “Enroll policies” tab, register your policy
  8. Validate the captcha as provided by Google to check registered policy status

Customer Login Process for Online Premium Payment if you are a Registered User:

Follow the below-mentioned steps to check the LIC premium payment status online.

  1. Visit “www.licindia.in”
  2. Click on the “LIC customer portal” button
  3. then click on the “Registered user” button
  4. you will get a prompt message which is “This link will take you to an external site” just click on “yes”
  5. You will get different options but you are required to choose “Customer”
  6. then, fill in your user id, email, mobile number, password, and date of birth.
  7. Log in to your account
  8. Where you will get options like self policies, child policies, and policies for spouse. Hence, it is up to you which policy you want to see, just click on it and you will be able to see all the details associated with the policy.

Customer Login Process for Online Premium Payment if you are a Non-Registered User:

In case, if you are not a registered user, then follow the below-mentioned steps to download and view LIC premium payment online.

  1. Visit LIC’s official website
  2. Hovering the mouse over the “premium Payment ” option at the top of the page where two options will appear on the screen “Pay Direct” and “Through Customer Portal”
  3. Clicking on the “Pay Direct” link
  4. To go on further, you need to create a username and password thereafter click on the “Submit” button
  5. Then, register your policy in order to check the details from the “Enroll Policies” tab
  6. To check policy status, click on the “View Enrolled Policies” tab
  7. Input your premium amount then validate the captcha using it for security reasons.

Customer Login Process If You Have Forgotten Password:

If you have lost your password, then no need to worry, recovering a password is a simple and hassle-free process.

  1. Visit the LIC’s official website
  2. Click on the ‘Customer Portal’ tab
  3. Click on the ‘Registered User’ button under the LIC e-Services
  4. On the login form page, forgot the User ID / Password links provided just below the “Sign in” button
  5. On the very next screen, again you will get two options “password” and “User ID”
  6. After clicking on password, you will get a screen where you have to provide User ID/ Email / Mobile, then provide your date of birth
  7. Fill in the correct ‘Captcha’
  8. Click on the ‘Submit’ button
  9. Thereafter, a link will be sent to you on your registered email id and mobile number to recover the password.
  10. After clicking the link, you will be redirected to a page where you are requested to create new password

Customer Log in Process If You Forgot User ID:

If you forgot your user id then you can recover it by following the below-mentioned steps

  1. Visit the LIC’s official website
  2. Click on the ‘Customer Portal’ tab
  3. Click on the ‘Registered User’ button under the LIC e-Services
  4. On the login form page, forgot the User ID / Password links provided just below the “Sign in” button
  5. On the screen, you will get two options “password” and “User ID”
  6. Input your ‘Policy Number’, ‘Premium’ and ‘Date of Birth’
  7. Fill in the correct ‘Captcha’
  8. Click on the ‘Submit’ button
  9. Thereafter, a link will be sent to you on your registered email id and mobile number to recover the User ID

How to Register Spouse / Child online in LIC?

  1. Login to LIC account with your registered “User ID” and “Password”
  2. Three options are provided to you on the screen “Spouse Policies”, “Child Policies” and “Self Policies” of your choice, continue with the option you wish to add
  3. Provide the details such as Policy number, date of birth, etc.
  4. Under the same account, you can add/register yourself, your spouse and your child
  5. Under the profile management menu, you can check the registered spouse / Child details
